Members (Kenneth Cheung, Jaro Karppinen, Keith Luk, Florence Mok, Dino Samartzis) were awarded the 2010 best clinical prize award by the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS) in Auckland, New Zealand for their work on the prevalence, determinants, and association of Schmorl’s nodes of the lumbar spine with disc degeneration in Southern Chinese.
