相信大家都試過做運動時受傷,矯形及創傷外科中其中一個亞專科是運動創傷及關節鏡外科,正正是針對這問題而設。
運動創傷的部位,大多是在肩膀、膝頭、髖關節及足踝關節,成因各有不同。一些劇烈、多用上肢的運動,例如棒球、划艇,運動員的肩膀容易受傷;而一些扭動、撞擊的運動,例如足球、籃球等,則容易令膝頭的十字韌帶受傷。
除了不同部位的運動創傷,它亦有急性與慢性之分。急性的撞擊性創傷,例如十字韌帶撕裂的病人會感到劇痛,聽到「噗」一聲,膝頭立即腫起來,超過九成患者當場不能再進行活動。另一種則是運動勞損,例如網球手,它沒有明顯受傷的病歷。主因是重覆過勞性的動作,使肌腱出現微細撕裂,在撕裂未完全癒合前再次受傷,故令傷勢越來越嚴重。
有些人平常少進行健身運動,一下子做劇烈運動會容易受傷;不少人於年紀較大時才開始做運動,身體較難適應;有些運動場地,例如在雪山滑雪,身體未必適應當地的溫度、氣壓,貿貿然進行一些自己不熟悉的運動,更容易受傷。因此運動前應做足熱身運動,以減少受傷的機會。
